Easily Connect More of Your Customers Banking Data 

Our updated Plaid integration in Railz Connect allows you to easily connect your SMB's bank information to financial institutions that require OAuth through

We continue to improve the Railz Connect experience to ensure you’re able to streamline your workflow and spend more time helping your SMB clients. With the new update there are now two ways of opening and interacting with Railz Connect. The first way is our legacy approach, and you can still embed Railz Connect directly into your application, this process has not changed. The new approach is to open a Railz Connect modal directly in your application. Your team can take their pick and use the approach that best suits their workflow.

Create Multiple Teams in the Same Railz Account 

If you have multiple teams or products using the same Railz account, they may not all be using the same integration configuration. It may also be helpful and sometimes required for each team/product to define their own connection journey and limit access to the data for various security and compliance reasons.

Teams allows our enterprise customers to create multiple teams in the same Railz account in the following ways:

January 2023 Product Update

Railz is always working hard to make your lives and your SMB clients' lives easier. Check out this month's updates for the latest features and changes. In this release, we’ve added the ability to single sign-on, additional customizations to Railz Sites, new Railz Connect enhancements and many other changes. Product Updates - January 2023

UPDATE (PUT) bills in QuickBooks Online and Xero

Updates bills in Xero and QuickBooks Online are now supported by the Railz API. A variety of accounting payable automation can be made possible and complemented by updating bills in Xero and QuickBooks Online.

UPDATE (PUT) journal entries in QuickBooks Online

Railz API now supports updating journal entries in QuickBooks Online. A journal entry can be used to represent a range of financial activities impacting the general ledger. A wide variety of accounting automation use cases, such as accounts payable automation, payments, and payroll service providers, are enabled and complemented by updating journal entries in QuickBooks Online.

Railz now supports the deletion of a Business. Customers can now delete any of their businesses through the API and Railz Dashboard. 

Railz now supports connecting a specific subsidiary in a Sage Intacct multi-entity company. Customers will be able to create a business for each subsidiary their business customers have. Customers will be able to obtain accounting data for each subsidiary more directly and simply thanks to this new functionality.

Enterprise customers can now enable Single sign-on (SSO) for their team members through the use of Google or Microsoft accounts, which provides an additional layer of security and faster way to log into existing business apps with just one set of credentials.

Additional Enhancements to  Railz Connect™️

Railz Connect™️ offers new customization options to tailor the connectivity journey for your business customers. These customizations include hiding overview and summary pages, customizable text on all of its pages (including those that appear before you enter a specific transaction), as well as enabling or disabling certain features such as progress bars located at various points throughout Railz's connection process line items; read our release notes to learn more.

New Railz Sites™️ Customization Capabilities

At long last, enterprise customers can now customize the content in the left sidebar of Railz Sites™️. This gives our customers the flexibility to modify the text that resonates with their small- and medium-sized business clients. In addition, the onboarding link has been customized to provide a more cohesive user experience. We believe that this will result in greater satisfaction for our enterprise customers. We continue to strive to provide the best possible no-code solution for your needs.

Through the new customizations in Railz Connect™️ and Railz Sites™️, the SMB connection journey process will be simplified and made easier.

Product Updates - November 2022

It's been a busy month at Railz, and we wanted to update our users on all the new changes. Here's a rundown of what's new in the last month. First up, we've made some changes to Railz Connect. We've also made some big updates to our functionality and Railz Sites, which should make it even easier for businesses to use Railz. Read on to learn more about our latest release.

 We're shaking things up around here and giving tabs the boot. From now on, business customers will be guided on a new and conversion-optimized connection flow journey through Railz Connect and Railz Sites to connect their service providers. This way, they'll have a better chance of connecting all the service providers required for your use case. And we're introducing a new way that will allow our customers to make a certain service mandatory during the connection journey. So if you're looking for a more streamlined way to connect with service providers, this is it. We hope you enjoy the new journey! 

The new experience will make onboarding for your SMB customers a breeze and get you working together with them faster than ever.

You will save time by no longer needing to manually create individual links for each of your SMB customers. While the ability to create individual links for SMBs still exists, you can now create one link and send it to all of the SMBs you want to onboard. You can simply use one generic link that is automatically created and send it to your business customers! This means end-users just need to enter their business name during the connecting process and the Railz system will automatically create the business profile in your dashboard.

We're excited to announce that Sage Intacct will be offered in open beta (previously in private beta). This means our customers no longer need to ask customer success for an opportunity to opt-in.

View Bank Reconciliation in Railz Dashboard

Railz now supports bank reconciliation reports in the Dashboard to compare the cash balance on a business’s balance sheet to its bank’s balance in a given period.

Customers will now be able to see key insights about their businesses on the Dashboard home page to better understand connectivity conversion. Customers will be able to view the following connected business breakdown: 

Railz has introduced a new way to integrate Railz Connect™ into your application through SDK ( in NPM). It's a faster and developer-friendly way to integrate Railz Connect into your framework.

GET and POST purchase orders from and to Oracle NetSuite

Railz API now supports pulling and pushing purchase orders from and to Oracle Netsuite. Purchase orders represent a business's intent to purchase goods or services from a supplier/vendor and normally include information such as expected delivery dates and shipping details. This new feature lets products built on Railz expand their integration support to customers who use Oracle Netsuite, specifically where integrations are used to automate payables and purchases/procurement processes.

Railz API now supports pulling tax rates from Sage Intacct. Pulling tax rates can be useful when building integrated features for payables/receivables automation, expense management and other applications seeking to save customers time and money on back-office and admin tasks.

Railz API now supports pushing estimates to FreshBooks. Estimates represent a business' approximate outline of the cost of products or services to their customers for approval before beginning the work and usually include information such as expected delivery dates and shipping details. Pushing estimates can be useful where integrations are used to automate receivables and sales processes.

Railz API now supports pushing credit notes to FreshBooks. Credit notes are like a voucher issued to a business's customer. They are a reduction that can be applied against one or multiple invoices. Credit notes can either reduce the amount owed or cancel out an invoice entirely. Pushing credit notes can be useful when building integrated features for receivables automation.

Simulate different flows using Sandbox credentials. This new feature lets customers test a login flow based on a set of test credentials. The initial version supports a successful connection only.
